If any of the branches of the bank is in near proximity of your house, or near the shop where you do general shopping, then it is easier for you to operate the account. Here are some points to consider:
1. What are the criteria for the minimum balance?
2. How many ATMs are available on your regular route and what are the allied fees for bank related operation.
3. Check the rate of interest the bank is offering on the fixed deposit scheme and ask for the insurance facility attached with the account.
4. Take the feed back of their retail product from the market and if possible visit the concerned website once for their products range.
If you find all these satisfactory you can go for a new account.
